1 - After about a half mile drive up the mountain, it is "Park and Walk" the last 100 yards |
2 - The cabin is perched at the top of a mountain overlooking the Chattahoochee National Forest |
3 - Dad gets some needed R&R after the hike up to the cabin! The last 100 yards or so can only be traversed by foot unless you are fortunate enough to have a four-wheel drive vehicle |

Well, we hated to leave this wonderful mountaintop retreat .....

All those restful nights on the mountaintop [Dad is sound asleep in the easy chair] .....
Where we enjoyed sitting under a full moon in our rocking chairs out on the porch .....
But all good things must eventually come to an end .....

So we reluctantly left this mountain hide-away just like we found it .....
And headed back down the mountain .....
Mother was thankful there would be no more of those nighttime hikes up the mountain in the rain!
